Aim: The Hydrotherapy Pool is an essential service that offers therapeutic benefits to all its users

The Hydrotherapy Pool is an essential service that offers therapeutic benefits to its users offering therapy to those pupils attending Humberston Park School and individuals within the wider community who have severe physical impairment and/or a complex medical condition.

Hydrotherapy has been proven to be an effective treatment for a range of medical conditions, including chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, and physical/mental disabilities.   Playing a vital role in delivering this service across North East Lincolnshire & Lincolnshire.  The Pool is used on a regular basis by the NHS, local schools, care homes and individuals in the wider community.

The Friends of Humberston Park Charity was founded in 1997 and the Trust was formed to raise funds to build the hydrotherapy pool through the support of local businesses and the local community we would like The Pool to remain a valued community resource.

Following COVID and due to the increase to utility costs (circa £12k in 2022-2023 to over £30k expected this financial year) the charity is unable to remain as a going concern.  Therefore, we are trying to raise 12 months running costs (circa £60k) before we have to close the doors in 12 weeks time. Further details of our campaign can be found at https://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/news/grimsby-news/humberston-hydrotherapy-pool-appeal-buoyed-101258

Our pool closure would mean that our users would have nowhere else to access hydrotherapy as other local pools in the area have now closed due to the rising costs.
