Aim: Save Luton sea and marine cadets. We are aiming for 1000 donations of £5 to keep the charity running to help kids in Luton area
Luton Sea Cadets is part of Sea Cadets, a UK wide youth organisation that gives young people aged 10 to 18 the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through a maritime themed programme rooted in the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. Our unit delivers structured activities that build confidence, discipline, teamwork and leadership through challenge, adventure and service to others. We have been supporting young people for around 70 years.
Our ethos is based on respect, commitment, responsibility and community spirit. We provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where cadets can gain practical skills, make lasting friendships and discover their potential, whether they are sailing, learning marine engineering, taking part in ceremonial duties or helping at local events.
As a unit in one of the UK’s most diverse towns, Luton Sea Cadets reflects the rich cultural makeup of our community. We welcome young people from all backgrounds and abilities and we are proud to promote inclusion, equality and a sense of belonging for every cadet who walks through our doors.
The impact is real. Our cadets leave with qualifications, increased confidence and a greater sense of purpose. Many go on to succeed in further education, employment or public service, equipped with the resilience and character gained through their time with us.
However, the rising cost of living is placing significant pressure on our unit. We are currently seeking 1,000 people to donate just £5 to help us cover essential running costs. As a registered charity, every donation goes directly to supporting our cadets and keeping this vital local service alive.
We meet in an old tank shed, a historical and cool place to be a cadet! Can you help us?
