Our local council has given residents very little notice to enter a pre-auction on a local space with garages, behind our houses. The space has been used by the surrounding homes and local garage tenants for decades. Residents don't want to lose access to this area, as it could be built on, if sold privately.
They have given us only 2 weeks to put in a bid on a pre-auction, before it goes to public auction. Once this happens, any developer could buy the land and build on it.
This is a space that has been used by families and members of the community for a long time, for things such as parking, storing belongings, a place for our children to play away from the road.
We are asking for enough money to cover the bid and any legal fees required. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
