We are Crowdfunding to help cover the cost of transporting our vaulting horse, “Billy” from Killicrankie in Highland Perthshire to Saumur

by Pegasus Vaulting Group in Pitlochry, Perth and Kinross, United Kingdom

Equestrian vaulting is gymnastics on horseback. The sport takes talent, discipline and a degree of courage from all our young vaulters.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Being the most northern vaulting group in Scotland transporting Billy from Killicrankie to Saumur is a very long journey. The most cost effective way is to use a specialist equine transport company that can ensure his comfort and safety and deal with all the in’s and out’s of borders and continental travel. Even so, this is still incredibly costly, which is why we are fundraising to help with the costs and enable  our vaulters to experience and fulfil their dreams of competing on the international circuit.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised will help to cover the cost of transporting Billy to the Concours International Vaulting Competition in Saumur, France. If we are fortunate enough to raise any extra money, it will be used for the associated costs of transporting a horse and all his kit into a European country.

Community impact

The vaulters and Billy are part of Pegasus Vaulting Group, which offers equestrian vaulting to all ages and abilities. At the moment, the group has vaulters from 5 to 50 years of age. We pride ourselves in being an inclusive group and welcome new members to come along and give it a try.
