Sandford Orcas Village Hall Zero Emissions project
We did it
On 17th September 2024 we successfully raised £710 with 8 supporters in 56 days

Our project is to contribute to the net zero national and global targets by becoming net zero and contributing to national power needs.

Our small village of about 120 houses has a vibrant, well used and loved village hall. In the last 10 years we have managed to rebuild the hall using many ecologically friendly products. Now we would like to use its fabulous position to turn it into a zero emissions facility, to contribute power to the grid, provide EV charging for villagers and visitors, and to help secure the community hall financially by protecting it from high energy costs.

To do this we intend to install solar panels on the roof, a battery to power evening activities and an electric car charger.

Over £200 million has been raised from our crowd to support the projects they love! Plus tens of millions more unlocked by our partners.
