One in five girls and young women do not feel safe in UK schools. We are committed to delivering workshops designed to tackle this issue.

Diversify and The Block are a collaborative community interest company specialising in social inclusion, awareness and prevention workshops across the UK.

In 2024 we launched a brochure showcasing our new workshops. We have been met with huge demand for 'Toxic Masculinity', 'Consent', 'Healthy Relationships', 'Sexual Harassment', 'Sexual Bullying And Inappropriate Behaviour' and 'Gender Equality'.

We are a female led C.I.C who want to empower young women and girls to speak out and feel safe in doing so. We also want to educate young boys and men to combat toxic masculinity, teaching them that sexism is not something to laugh at and enable them to truly understand Consent.

Around one in five girls and young women do not feel safe in UK schools, according to a new survey.

Sexual harassment in schools was bought to the forefront by campaign group Everyone’s Invited last year, which saw thousands of victims share testimonies online.

Ofsted, the school watchdog, also carried out a review which revealed the prevalence of sexual harassment and abuse for young people.

“It is concerning that for some children, incidents are so commonplace that they see no point in reporting them,” the watchdog said.

Some girls told Ofsted they had experienced “unwanted touching” in school corridors.

The survey found 17 per cent of girls in the UK do not feel safe in schools.

More than half did not feel safe outside on their own, while around a quarter did not feel safe online.

Meanwhile, more respondents said they see or experience sexism in their education or work - 66 per cent - this year compared to 58 per cent four years ago.

Police chiefs have warned. that two million women are estimated to be victims of violence perpetrated by men each year in an epidemic so serious it amounts to a “national emergency”,

Crimes including stalking, harassment, sexual assault and domestic violence affect one in 12 women in England and Wales, with the number of recorded offences growing by 37% in the past five years and the perpetrators getting younger.

Police chiefs also warned of young men being “radicalised” online by influencers such as Andrew Tate. They demanded technology companies act more quickly to take down extreme material.

Our founder created our series of workshops to tackle to growing problem in schools, she has worked tirelessly to raise awareness around this topic and has been featured in The Guardian, The Observer, The Daily Mail and The Mirror newspapers discussing the issues she has seen first hand in schools. She has also appeared on BBC news explaining the pressures schools are under.

We collectively have spoken to over 57000 children and young people through the delivery of our sessions and workshops.

We currently have a 4 advocates and would like to recruit more to deliver our work and help more schools.

The money raised from this Crowdfunder would enable us to recruit a further 6 advocates and train them to meet the demand for our work.

We would also be able to offer discounts to schools who are struggling with their budgets.
