Safeguard the future of Pike Fold Golf Club

I am the youngest ever captain of Pike Fold Golf Club, a club I am passionate about, I never envisaged my year in office to look like this.

The wet weather from August until late February seriously hit us hard and the course was forced to close for a significant period which provided us with very little income, the COVID-19 took hold and the directive (rightly so) was to close to save lives. This, as you can imagine, left us with no income.

I want to raise money for the club in order to secure the future of Pike Fold for the members, the visitors and the community that it serves so well, we have work to be done on the course which requires money, jobs to protect as well as smiles to bring to people's faces. I also want to make sure that by doing this we are able to help others, which is why I will donate 10% of whatever I raise to the NHS Charities Together as a thank you for their amazing work during this pandemic.

I want to get back playing golf, as many do, and you can help us make sure we can. I also want to see my family and hug them and laugh with them again, the NHS can help us do that, which is why I want to support them too.

Being part of Pike Fold is so much more than playing golf, it offers a place to come as a society and enjoy each others company, it offers a place for all types of functions to take place from birthdays, to anniversaries and it gives people an accessible way of getting fitter both physically and mentally.

We have searched high and low for support from government funding with many sleepless nights and, whilst that search continues, we have been hit in the face by many closed doors. We need your help.

I want to be able to see our 18th hole NHS flag waving proudly knowing that we have secured the short term future of Pike Fold and have also raised a good amount of money for those critical workers.
