Safe Haven Mentoring – A Place Where Young People Can Thrive
Helping children is not just something I do; it is my purpose. For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my life to fostering, mentoring, and supporting young people, providing them with the stability and guidance they need to grow into confident, independent adults. I have seen first-hand the struggles they face, from instability and trauma to a lack of positive role models, and I have made it my mission to be someone they can rely on.
My sister shares this passion. She currently manages six supported accommodation units, ensuring young people have a safe, structured environment to call home. With her experience in mentoring and youth development, she understands their challenges and the importance of providing a nurturing space where they can build life skills and gain independence.
Together, we have founded Safe Haven Mentoring, a Community Interest Company (CIC) that operates as a not-for-profit, dedicated to giving vulnerable young people the best possible start in life. Our vision is to create a supported living home that offers more than just a place to stay. It will be a space where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to build a brighter future.
The funds we raise will enable us to secure a property, furnish it to create a warm and welcoming environment, and provide essential support services such as mentoring, life skills training, and mental well-being programmes. Every penny raised will go directly into transforming the lives of young people, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
This is not just a project; it is our life’s work. With your support, we can create a lasting impact and give young people the stability, care, and opportunities they deserve.
