SYP is a resource for children and young people up to the age of 19 living in Sacriston and the surrounding areas by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities.

Sacriston Youth and Community Project is a life changing youth project.
All activities, trips and residentials are provided free of charge to our young people and their families.
We offer young people up to 19yrs somewhere safe to meet and take part in activities that will build relationships, develop confidence and foster learning. We also offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of issue that affect young people.
Our aims are to:
- To encourage young people to use their leisure time doing worthwhile and fun activities, leading to accreditation.
- To ensure that young people regardless of their ability either physical, learning or emotional needs are involved in projects.
- To support and encourage young people to become active members of their local community.
We have many different groups from baby and toddler group to our mini’s, juniors and senior youth clubs. We also offer Duke of Edinburgh Award.
