I am going to Rwanda from the 23rd-1st June 2025. I'm hoping to help raise some funds to keep this school project going. The children are aged 3-6 years and this is the only chance these children have for a meal as the parents cannot afford food very often. I've attached some photos from previous donations kindly donated by many. I hope to raise funds to pay for 1 months of the schools expenses and £100 for hospital treatments.
We are a team of 8 volunteers that will be helping with the feeding of these children, hospitals and house visits. We bring with us physical donations also in 16 suitcases and will be distributing them throughout our visits.
This project offers 50 students 2 meals and a meal to take home and 50 external ex students lunch and a meal to take home from Mon-Fri. They would otherwise have no food. The school also gives the children books, equipment and uniform as and when they are able to afford it. It is run by a religious community and funded largely by donations. The community are called "Servos de Maria do Coracao de Jesus" CSMCJ – Comunidade Servos de Maria do Coração de Jesus (comunidadesmcj.org.br). This project is under a registered Charity project in Rwanda.
