I’m fundraising for the People’s Recovery Project who help people in Hackney who are experiencing homelessness and addiction problems. While volunteering for the People’s Kitchen in Belfast, I saw first hand how people from all walks of life can fall on hard times. So I thought that helping a local charity in Hackney where the half marathon is taking place would be one way to help those who are currently experiencing difficulties in life.
