Colchester Half Marathon Done
Race done in 2:01:55. Thanks for all your support. Blown away by the supporter who stood in the rain with smiles on their faces cheering the runners on, the messages and all the generous donations. Amazing.
One week to go!
The countdown has officially started. It’s now Colchester Half Marathon month.
I’m no long distance runner, not a gym goer and haven’t done much regular exercise since the arrival of my eldest over 10 years ago.
I think you get my gist that I’m neither an athlete or athletic, just a Mum of two who came up with a bright idea to participate in the Colchester Half Marathon to try and raise a few pounds for charity.
I hadn’t really considered the hike up North Hill or the endless gradient of the Ipswich Road, but they all add to the challenge and fun in achieving my goals.
Goals
- Crossing the finish line.
- Raising money for FAFA - Friends And Family of Queen Boudica Primary School
- Showing my children that if you put your mind to something you can achieve it, even if it’s completely out of your comfort zone.
FAFA - Friends And Family of Queen Boudica Primary School
The aim of the charity is to raise money to provide equipment and events to enhance the school experience for the children of Queen Boudica Primary School.
Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated.
Thank you.
