Running for the Kings

On Sunday 29th May 2022, we as a team of 4 Capital Theatre employees (Linda Hogg, Kirsty Finlay, Fiona Syme and Diane Legget) will be running the marathon distance relay to raise funds to help towards the final target of £26million to refurbish the King's Theatre Edinburgh.

Please give something towards our efforts - every £1 helps! We are passionate about our Theatre and the enjoyment it brings to so many people. We are a charity and every penny raised is in good will to see the King's live on to benefit generations ahead.

Opened in 1906, the King’s Theatre is a cornerstone in the cultural life of the city, a place of gala openings, royal visits, performances from stars such as Laurence Olivier, Maria Callas and Rudolph Nureyev. One of the key venues for the Edinburgh International Festival since its beginnings in 1947, the King’s is home to a curated programme of drama, musical theatre, kids shows and pantomime and welcomes over 190,000 visitors a year.
