On 21 March 2025 I will be running from 06:00 until 18:00 around the BATUK trim trail route (2.5km) to complete circa 100km distance in memory of Samuel Kariuki Maima (Sammy). Sammy was one of the best workers we had in the workshop. He was a friendly individual with a great personality. On 12 January 2025 he was hit by a vehicle and later died in hospital. His young wife now has the sole responsibility of raising their 10 months old son with no support.
