Like every other RSPCA branch in England and Wales, the Stourbridge and District Branch is a separate registered charity to the National RSPCA. We are totally self-funding, which means that all the money we spend on rescue cats, dogs and other small animals within the Stourbridge area, must be raised by us in the Stourbridge area.
The Branch is run by a committee of trustee's who oversee the branch activities. There are no paid members of staff within the branch; everyone works on a voluntary basis.
Our volunteers are the backbone of the branch and without them, the branch could not function.
Because we do not have an animal rescue centre at Stourbridge, all of our cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs are in foster care. We rely 100% on our volunteer fosterers to look after our animals until they get a new home.
