Promoting animal welfare and endeavouring to prevent cruelty to animals in the Central, West and North East areas of London.

Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Central London Branch

RSPCA Central London Branch covers some of the most disadvantaged areas of London.  We rescue and rehome hundreds of sick, injured and abused animals every year.

Our Animal Welfare Officers go out into the community 365 days a year to help animals most at risk and in need. Our two animal shelters offer a safe place for our little patients to be given all the veterinary treatment, care and love they need to recuperate, and are always full to bursting. We specialise in finding a future for those animals who find it hardest to trust humans again.

RSPCA Central London Branch operates as a separate charity to the main RSPCA. The charity is led by volunteers, with permanent, temporary and volunteer staff manning the adoption centres and charity shops. While we get some help from the main RSPCA, we are responsible for raising funds to pay for the animal welfare work that we do, and we rely on donations to carry out our vital work.

Each year we help over 1850 animals – including cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and occasionally less common animals like birds, ferrets, terrapins and tortoises.
