At Mount Noddy Animal Centre, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and dogs sadly, many have experienced acts of neglect, abuse or are simply unwanted. Since our Centre re-opened in April 2022 following a major rebuild of our animal accommodation we have rescued and rehomed 542 cats and 84 dogs.

We are a Fear Free certified animal shelter ensuring that the cats and dogs who come into our care have their individual needs met in a manner which promotes their well-being and is respectful of their emotional and physical needs.

Upon arrival at the centre each animal is examined by our vet and assessed by our behaviourist, enabling us to identify and meet medical and nutritional needs. Training plans are developed for each individual, using positive and reward-based reinforcement training to help prepare them for their special, forever homes.

Animal welfare is at the heart of our mission and this fear free approach ensures we not only maintain the welfare of cats and dogs in our care but allows our dedicated staff to form incredible bonds with them while preparing them for their second chance in life.

It costs £900,000 a year to run Mount Noddy Animal Centre and as an independent registered charity, we must raise these funds ourselves. Without your help, we couldn’t do this. It’s through your support we can make a difference to the lives of so many cats and dogs. Every donation helps and is much appreciated.
