RSPCA Suffolk Central provides animal welfare services across Suffolk. Reaching animals in need of rehabilitation, rehoming and veterinary services; we run an Animal Centre and a Veterinary Clinic, providing heavily subsidised care for the animals of people on low incomes.

As a small, local charity, funded independently from the National RSPCA, your support is vital to allow us to continue to deliver our animal welfare services across Suffolk.

At our Animal Centre in Martlesham, we rehabilitate and rehome animals who have been neglected or abandoned. Caring for over 90 cats, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets at any one time, it costs over £700 a week in food alone! Together our team of volunteers and animal care experts ensure every animal receives the individual care needed to recover before matching them to a suitable new home.

Last year, thanks to your support, we took in over 300 animals and assisted over 2,000 more in the community.

Sadly, the number of animals needing our help has increased significantly this year, impacted by the cost-of-living crisis and the aftermath of the Covid pandemic; our veterinary support services have seen a 180% increase in demand, and our waiting lists for a space at the Animal Centre lengthen every day.
