0The RSPCA Manchester and Salford Branch has been a registered charity since 1963. Our Registered Charity Number is 232255.
We are a small, independent branch of the RSPCA based in Manchester and Salford that work alongside the National RSPCA Inspectorate, to help the most mistreated animals from the community. We typically house 80 cats, rabbits and other small animals at any one time, providing a standard of care that has earnt us the accolade of a ‘centre of excellence’. Since opening the centre in July 2019 we have taken in over 2000 animals.
Alongside our team of dedicated animal fosterers, we have helped 2395 animals piece their lives back together before they are adopted into their loving homes. That’s 12 animals each week having a second chance!
We share our expertise in small animal welfare with the community, providing education and support to pet owners. We run cat and rabbit welfare events throughout the year and behavioural support to owners in need.
As well as being animal advocates, we also commit ourselves to being a diverse and inclusive organisation. We are made up of approximately 100 staff and volunteers who represent the vibrant, multi generational communities of our catchment.
Here at the Manchester and Salford branch it is our mission to strive to use our expertise to improve the lives of the animals who come into our care, and support the local community in doing the same.
