Based in Taunton we are a branch of the RSPCA raising money locally to support our animal welfare work.
Our branch is run by a committee of locally elected volunteers who are responsible for the management and administration of the branch's affairs.
We have a dedicated welfare line. This number is for people on low incomes, who may be able to obtain financial help towards the cost of veterinary treatment and neutering for their animals.
South West Somerset Branch helps animals and their owners in Taunton, Bridgwater, Wellington, Chard, Minehead, Ilminster, Williton, Wiveliscombe, Dulverton and the surrounding areas.
As well as our volunteer run welfare line we financially support our local nationally run RSPCA animal centre at West Hatch and fund a community education engagement officer. We also support with the financial cost of stray dogs taken in to St Giles Animal rescue.
