Who are we?
We are an independent branch of the RSPCA, supporting animals in our community, covering postcodes BA4 – BA22, TA10 – TA19 and DT9 Milborne Port.
What do we do?
We work with the RSPCA inspectors, local vets, animal centres and food banks to support all animals in need, as well as their owners. We can contribute towards vet bills and provide pet food for local people on a low income - a problem which is particularly pressing during the cost-of-living crisis. We will endeavour to help anyone in a crisis!
Our aim is to ensure that all animals in our area are given the best chance for their future, and that any pet owners struggling with the care or costs of their animals have a place to go to for support. We are here to listen if you need someone to talk to about your animal companion.
How can you help?
Our funds are primarily raised by our shops and their dedicated teams in Crewkerne, Glastonbury, Somerton, South Petherton and Yeovil and we rely on the support from our local community to enable us to continue our vital welfare work.
We would be grateful for any help you could provide, whether this be financial or if you are able to get involved with the branch and volunteer some of your time.
We currently have 10 trustees of varying ages and with varying skills. Perhaps there are skills you have that could assist us in running this branch. Please look at our website "How you can help" for further information on ways you can get involved.
