Aim: Staff are rowing the distance of the English Channel to raise awareness for mental health & its impacts on individuals and their loved ones

Supported Steps are a CQC registered, non-profit community interest company in Farnworth, Bolton. Our vision is to support individuals and families in our local community to thrive and live more fulfilled lives, despite living with mental health difficulties.

As a team, we are hugely passionate about reducing stigma and discrimination around mental health, and promoting more awareness within our community. Social research is an important part of our work, as we strive to provide the support and service's that our community is lacking.

All of our service's profits and donations go directly to providing our community with the necessary resources to improve mental health and wellbeing for those most in need.

To raise awareness for mental health & its impacts on individuals and their loved ones, this Mental Health Awareness Week, Supported Steps staff are going to row the length of the English Channel, using a rowing machine.

Blood, sweat & tears will be expended by staff who have the combined fitness level of a raw potato!

This fundraiser hopes to give Supported Steps the opportunity to provide some much needed outreach work across the Bolton Borough, where we will aim to raise awareness of mental health, reduce stigma & offer a range of resources for anyone in need of support.

Any money raised will be used directly to support outreach work, and the resources required to support people in the community.

Donations can be made online via our Crowdfunding page or at our hub on Albert road, Farnworth, where we will have a donation bucket available to add to in our waiting area.

Any little helps, so please dig deep and help us to help our local community. Thank you.
