On Sunday, 25th August, I will be undertaking an exciting and daring challenge: a parachute jump! I am doing this to raise funds for a cause that is very close to my heart – improving our club’s training facilities. We need to raise £58,000 to invest in new training nets, which will greatly enhance the experience and development of all our players, from the youngest juniors to our senior members.
Having grown up at this club, I know firsthand how crucial good training facilities are. They not only help players improve their skills but also foster a love for the game.
Since moving to the UK, SSCC has been my home cricket club where I've scored a few runs, been clean bowled a lot and made countless friends. Cricket has been a way for me to connect to the local community and improve my skills while enjoying a sport that never lets you feel comfortable.
To believe you can play for England, either as a retired has-been or an ambitious, talented youngster, you need the facilities to be able to practice and hone your skills.
Your support would mean a lot to me and to everyone at Stony Stratford CC. Every donation, big or small, will bring us one step closer to our goal. By contributing, you will be helping to create a better, safer, and more effective training environment for all our players.
Thank you for your generosity and for supporting this journey. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our community and ensure that our club continues to thrive for years to come.
