Hello, I'm Ross Shipman.
I am campaigning to be your MP in North East Derbyshire on 4th July 2024.
With your help, I want to raise £5,000 to support my campaign.
I am fundraising because elections are expensive. We read every day about the massive "donations for favours" given to the Conservatives. The Liberal Democrats do not receive donations like this, so I am building my election fund with the help of my supporters to be ready whenever the election is called..
Our constituency has nearly 72,500 voters who i need to get our campaign messages to- that's a lot of doors to knock on! We want to ensure we reach as many people as possible between now and polling day.
With your donations, we will be able to
- Pay for the £500 deposit to stand as a candidate.
- Coordinate our teams of hard working volunteers.
- Drive home our key messages of change by delivering literature across North East Derbyshire
- Build a solid digital campaign to reach all voters, particularly the younger and disenfranchised voters.
- Fund Lib Dem posters and stake boards to show my growing support
- Fund the campaign team activities working hard in the background to help get me elected as your next MP.
I'm standing because, like you, I don't want to be represented by a Conservative MP in Westminster for a minute longer after disasters that have unfolded with them in charge, and Labour have proven time and time again that they take this constituency for granted by standing a candidate who lives over 40 miles away in a different County.
We need MPs who understand the challenges people are facing, and will speak up in particular for those who live with deep deprivation.
We need MPs who care about the environment we live in and want to make the serious changes needed to give us the best chance of addressing the negative changes that are happening to it.
We need more MPs who live in the 'real world' and not some ivory tower in Parliament.
We need an MP who considers being elected to parliament a privelege, who will be accountable, and lives by the words that they tell us.
That MP would be me if elected in the General Election on 4th July 2024.

I'm very proud to have lived in this constituency since 2016 and i have lived in Derbyshire my whole life.
I work in the NHS in IT procurement as a Digital Business Partner, and have previously worked in local government. I have first hand experience understanding our public sector organisation and what needs to be done to help them thrive.
I'm stepping up because I want to help change the political narrative and lead a movement that will end the continuation of failing Conservative and Labour MPs here in North east Derbyshire.
