Rory's Rehab

Little Rory is an adorable 8 week old bundle of cuteness.. Sadly little Rory has Spina Bifida, leaving him with incontinence and limited mobility.  

He was naively advertised for free from his breeder and given to a family, who returned him the same evening, as his disability was beyond their experience and capability. 

Luckily for Rory, Sarah from Ravens Rescue UK had offered him a place, just as he has been given away...that place was thankfully still available when he was returned. 

Rory has been checked by the vet and had lots of tests and will continue to need veterinary treatment moving forward. 

Today he had neurological tests which all came back clear which is great, his little legs however are more complex as our vets do feel his right leg is none functional and he may need to have it amputated when older but at the moment we all remain optimistic that it can be saved following the plan for his left leg which is hydrotherapy, physio and surgery when old enough. 

They have said he is pain free and despite his medical problems he’s a happy little pup.

Even if you can afford £1 towards his care, it all mounts up!
