MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline) Fundraiser Prize Draws

1) By entering our prize draws you are agreeing to the following prize draw Terms and Conditions.

 2) The prize draw we are offering is being run by MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline), a Charitable Incorporated Organisation - [ Registered with The Charity Commission for England & Wales - Registration No 1195589 ] (‘MV Ross Revenge’ ‘we’/ ‘us’) of Beeleigh, Maldon, Essex, CM9 6LL

 Eligibility To Enter

3) Our prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age only. Staff and related persons of MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline) are not eligible to enter.

4) By entering our prize draw you confirm that you are eligible to do so, and eligible to claim any prize you may win.

5) The number of entries allowed per person are unlimited, based upon;

a) A donation of £10 will secure 1 entry into the draw the participant has entered.
b) A donation of £25 will secure 4 entries into the draw the participant has entered.
c) A donation of £50 will secure 10 entries into the draw the participant has entered.

 6) Our prize draw is also free to enter via Postal Entries

How To Enter  

7) The prize draw open at 7pm on Saturday 1 June 2024 and close at 7 pm Monday 24 June 2024. Late entries will not be accepted.

8) To enter the prize draws:

a) For Online Entries please enter via the form options opposite

 b) For Postal Entries - please see below;

Postal entrants may enter the promotion: 

i)    by mailing their full name, address and a contact telephone number (including area code if providing a landline number) or other method of contact (as applicable), to the following postal address:

Backgammon Set, PO Box 12524,
 Maldon, Essex CM9 9EX

and

ii)   by sending an entry within an envelope. Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted.

In the case of multiple entries received in a single envelope, only one entry will be entered into the draw. Multiple entries can be made but in separately posted single entries.

Entries sent by post;

iii)    must be received at the relevant postal address specified for entries by the end of the Entry Period as specified in Clause 7.

iv)    Entries which have not been given the correct and sufficient payment for postage will be invalid and will not be considered.

v)    Personal and hand delivered entries will not be accepted.

9) We are unable to accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate - or for prize draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit.

The Prize  

 10) The prize will be as follows;

One winner will receive the backgammon set which belonged to the late Ronan O'Rahilly plus a copy of the book 'Behind The Scenes at Radio Caroline' by his former assistant Lyn Gilbert and a letter from Lyn confirming the set's authenticity.

11) The winner of our prize draw will be selected by Google Random Number Generator after the close of the competition

12) The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

 13) MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline) is not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including any faults and non-receipt of prize. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

14) The decision of MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline) regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner Announcement  

15) Winners will be notified after Monday 24 June by the email address provided in the prize draw entry.

16) We will attempt to contact winners by email up to three times. If contact is not made we reserve the right to choose and notify a new winner.

Claiming The Prize

17) Arrangements for delivery will be made between MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline) and the selected winner via telephone and/or email

18) If a winner does not claim their prize within 14 days, they will lose their right to the prize.

19) If the winner cannot be contacted or has not claimed their prize within the required time limit, we reserve the right to choose and notify a new winner.

Data Protection & Publicity

20) You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by us for the purposes of administering the prize draw.

21) Winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity related to the prize draw which may include the publication of their name.

 All personal information shall be used in accordance with our Data Protection and Privacy Policies

Limitation of Liability    

 22) The Charity does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draws or being selected for a prize.    

General

23) We reserve the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.                    

 24) The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
