Rising Moments Community Project

Police recorded crime data show an increase in offences flagged as domestic abuse-related during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, however, there has been a gradual increase in police recorded domestic abuse-related offences over recent years as police have improved their recording of these offences; Domestic abuse affects whole families, being thrown together for a long periods of time with financial pressures increases the incident of abuse occurring. Help us help families to escape the abuse and help to heal the scars. This project is run by non paid volunteers who understand the trauma and can support people on their journey.

They hope to hold some outdoor activities during the summer for families to attend, these will need to be paid for, and that is where you can help us. We need to fund coach trips, ice creams, a bag of chips or a whole support package, we need to respond to the need and the need is great. Can you spare anything to help us help others this summer?
