Rising Giants - Support Top-Level Volleyball

Aim: We’re raising funds for our upcoming season to help bring international athletes to Lambeth and grow elite volleyball in our community.

Who are we?

The London Giants Volleyball Club is one of the UK’s leading volleyball teams, proudly based in Lambeth. We are the reigning Super League champions, and our club continues to grow in strength, ambition, and impact - both on the national court and in our local community. 

From our women’s first division squad to our junior athletes, the Giants represent more than just competitive volleyball. We work actively with young people across Lambeth through school partnerships, the London Youth Games, and local outreach initiatives.

Why are we crowdfunding?

As we prepare for the upcoming season, we’re thrilled to welcome a small number of international athletes to join our squad. These players bring a wealth of experience, talent and diversity - raising the standard of our programme, inspiring young local players, and lifting the profile of volleyball in the UK.

Unlike many European clubs with institutional support, we rely on community backing to keep growing. That’s where you come in.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We’re launching this campaign to help cover essential costs for the season - including accommodation, training facilities, travel, and team infrastructure - all of which are vital to maintain our top-flight status and keep making a difference for our local community and young people.

Community impact

Bringing elite-level athletes into our squad isn’t just about winning matches - it's so much more. Volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, with young people and communities from all backgrounds getting involved. By strengthening our team, we are creating more opportunities for:

• Local engagement - inspiring the next generation of players in Lambeth through school visits, youth clinics and community events.
• Visibility and representation - showing that teams from diverse urban communities can compete and succeed at the highest levels.
• Growth of the sport - raising standards and bringing more attention to British volleyball on a European stage.

Our women’s team is the only UK club to have qualified for both the Champions League preliminary round and European-level competition. We weren’t able to take up the opportunity this year due to funding constraints - but with your help, we’re building the foundation to make a dream come true: European matches hosted right here in Lambeth bringing in fans, attention, and economic benefits for the entire borough.
