Ripples of Kindness aims to provide back-to-school supplies and bursaries toward tuition, uniform, textbooks to children in the Communities of Omara Road/Chisholm Avenue, Pembroke Hall, Freeman's Hall and Pyke in Jamaica. Living in these communities, Shellon and Lorna have seen how some were not able to attend school because of the lack of basic resources. Time has passed, but circumstances and struggles are similar for many. The idea of Treat sprung from the desire to give an helping hand, thus changing the course of someone's future to a brighter tomorrow.
Ripples of Kindness will be hosting an annual treat where children will be feted and presented with a school bag containing basic school supplies (pencils/pen, eraser, notebook).
Special bursaries would be offered to a few students based on availability of funds toward tuition, textbooks, uniform, etc. Bursaries are awarded based on needs, through an application system (other qualifying factors may be required).
The desire is to provide for 100 children in each community.
