We will continue our research in Iceland and be able to better support our researchers financially, afford more drone equipment… and continue to use our tools and knowledge to fight for a better world, a more compassionate and gentle world, a world where the whales can live.
The Reykjavík Marathon will be held on the 24th August. If you see a whale running, that’s Jess. She will be running to raise awareness for whale protection and go the extra mile (or 26.2) to fundraise for Whale Wise research.
In particular, the money raised will go towards our scientific research and engagement projects. Our current focus project being: Scars from Above in Iceland, as we aim to protect the humpback whales from further risk of entanglement by fishing gear in the future.
