News on the Resurgence centre and Summer Camp
We have now fulfilled all of the pledges from our crowdfunder! We’ve sent out hundreds of books and magazines, organised a walk on Dartmoor, given out tickets for our Resurgence Talks, hosted an evening reception at Sandy Brown’s gallery and more – all to say a massive thank you for supporting our project. The crowdfunder has been a huge challenge for team Resurgence – but we did it!
We’d like to say a special thank everyone who donated items in support of our crowdfunder, particularly local artists Merlyn Chesterman, Sarah Jane Lander, Clive Brocklehurst and Sandy Brown.
We have recently submitted another funding application – this time to Leader, which is EU funding – and we hope to hear whether we have been successful in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed! The plans are done and we’re almost ready to make a start on the huge task of creating our unique Resurgence centre in Hartland.
We have received so many generous offers of help from people who want to get involved and support our project – from gardeners, to furniture makers, to stained glass artists – all joining together to make this a creative, collaborative venture.
If you’d like to hear more about our plans, Mark Gough our project manager, will be at the Resurgence Summer Camp from 13 – 15th July. The camp is an informal gathering with talks, workshops and music – it’s a chance to immerse yourself in all things Resurgence and spend time meeting new people and the team behind Resurgence. Held at the very lovely Green & Away outdoor conference centre, near Worcester, the ticket price includes all meals – so you don’t even have to cook!
