Responding to the traumatic impact of war on the well-being of many Ukrainians, Restart Foundation is a newly-founded, UK-based charity working to improve mental health in Ukraine. Our vision is for a Ukraine that is flourishing, with happy, fulfilled people, who are not broken or damaged by the war they have endured.
Restart Foundation aims to increase awareness of mental health issues and provide a range of services to people in Ukraine, all while establishing ourselves as a leading mental health provider in the country. With an initial focus on schools and kindergartens, and progressing to work with soldiers and veterans, the charity’s goal is to create positive circles of good mental health.
Restart Foundation was legally registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in July 2023 (Registered Charity Number: 1203921) but our first pilot project in Ukraine has been underway since March 2023. We are currently governed by four Trustees and run by two Senior Volunteers in the UK, a Supervising Psychologist in Ukraine plus a Psychologist who is paid on a project basis (more details available on request).
