Logline

When a famous drag artist passes away and the fate of her bar and its legacy is uncertain, an aspiring artist finds acceptance and family as she revives it and its community.

Synopsis

In Soho, London, a renowned gay bar called “Requiem" was run by a prodigy of drag artistry known as Mona Lott, who was tragically hit by a national express bus. The bar is split ownership between his best friend Art and his third cousin Mikey who have very different ideas and intentions for how to handle the bar going forward, Mikey threatens to change the bar into a sports bar.

The new girl, Quinn, moves to London to help assist her dying great-uncle, Dennis. She gets her dream job at ‘Requiem’. After learning about the big changes Mikey has planned, Quinn starts a fundraiser to raise money to save the bar. Alongside this challenge, she faces financial issues regarding the rent for her Uncle’s London home. Through her journey, she learns how to become her own authentic drag artist and finds a family in the employees at the bar. She develops an even greater friendship with her Great Uncle by gaining an understanding of the troubles and differences he’s faced, being a closeted homosexual man with ambitions of being a drag queen when he was a young adult.
