Hi,
My name is Kalyan Pagadala, and I am originally from India. I came to the UK with the hope of building a better future by pursuing my Master’s degree. Unfortunately, after completing my studies, life took a difficult and unexpected turn.
One morning before heading to my part-time job, I received a distressing call from my family in India. My mother was crying as she explained that someone had taken advantage of my parents’ kindness. Out of trust and goodwill, my parents lent money to someone in need, without any formal proof, only their faith in people. Sadly, that trust was betrayed. The person they helped filed an IP case against my family under Indian law, falsely claiming they owed nothing, leaving my family with no legal right to reclaim the money.
We tried to fight back by appointing a lawyer, hoping to recover what was rightfully ours. But the opposing party manipulated the situation further by bribing our own lawyer. My family was misled with false hope and ultimately abandoned by the legal system. In the end, when the lawyer who filed the false case died of a heart attack, we saw it as a sign from God, but by then, the damage was done. With no documentation, the case was closed and my family was left with nothing.
This financial and emotional strain pushed my mother to the brink. She attempted suicide out of despair. Thankfully, she survived, but the trauma remains. People began coming to our home, demanding money with threats and violence. My parents were physically harmed, and due to the political influence of the perpetrators, even the police refused to help. We were truly alone.
Despite working part-time in the UK, I am unable to support my family’s urgent needs. I have already borrowed on credit to send what little I could, but now I am struggling with debt myself. The constant financial and emotional stress has affected my mental health severely. I went through a period of deep depression, suffered from serious health issues, and even attempted to take my own life. I’ve lost relationships and direction, and I’m overwhelmed with guilt and helplessness.
I am not looking for a loan. I am looking for hope. I need support to help stabilize my family and rebuild our lives. I am doing everything I can to stay strong, but I can't do it alone anymore. Any help you can provide will not just ease a financial burden, it will be a lifeline for me and my family.
