Brilliant local initiative !
We live in such a beautiful part of the country and you keep it beautiful for us. How could we not support you?
I am passionate about trees and want to do all I can to help to protect trees and plant more trees both in Torbay and beyond. I have a radio show called It's All Good Radio Show on RivieraFM on Thursdays 5-7pm which I co-host with my partner David Durant who is equally passionate about trees. We would be interested in getting involved in the planting in January so please do get in touch with us. All best wishes Debbie and David
Really pleased that I am able to contribute towards this fantastic cause!
We were very fond of these woods and enjoyed many family expeditions through them to the cove and coast path. Going to see the carpet of bluebells and to smell the wild garlic was always a highlight. The stillness near the ground while sea winds made the tree tops clash was enchanting. To my young daughter this was a magical place populated by gnomes and trolls. So we were shocked and dismayed to discover the devastation of a wonderful local beauty spot and ecosystem. We'd love to see this area thrive again. I hope in some small way our contribution helps. The Nevills.
To assist in the conservation of this beautiful area for future generations to be able to enjoy it as I have done.
We all live and work in a beautiful part of the country. Lets do our bit to help improve it. Hopefully we can all be proud of what we leave behind for those who come after us.
Adding to Torbay's green lung....
Good luck with bringing trees back to Churston Woods. Have enjoyed walks there.
It is good to replant the woods - great for people and great for wildlife!
I hope lots of other people will join me and support this re-planting project - good for local wildlife, good for combating climate change, and good for us all to have more trees around us!
“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.” - Greek Proverb, apparently!
