Marshall‘s family purchased him and Acer Nitro V15 gaming Laptop for his 17th Birthday On the 20/12/24. The parcel was delayed in delivery twice and finally arrived on the 23/12/24, late in the afternoon. On receiving the parcel, it was subsequently opened, instead of the expected gaming Laptop, there was 3no Apple Ultra watches and straps and an empty Iphone 15 pro box. Due to the time of day the the family could not return the item to Curry’s in Truro as it was closed. The following morning which was Christmas Eve, the family tried to return the items to the store in Truro. As the laptop was purchased online the store would not take the items back or deal with a replacement. Their customer service team was called, and a 6 week battle followed. At the end of this 6 wks, Curry’s have inferred that Mr and Mrs Janson are responsible for this fraud and have now closed the case. This is an appalling judgement.
I have now taken the Apple products to the Apple Store in Truro and all the items are counterfeit. On trying to further return the items to Curry’s under the ‘Consumer Act 2015’ they will not take possession of the items and would class them as abandoned!
It would appear that the courier or another have switched the items and used the counterfeit watches to ‘weight ’ the box.
This has left the family in a situation where they have illegal counterfeit goods in their house and no means of getting a refund or preferably the laptop.
We have set this Crowdfunder up to replace Marshall’s laptop. In the event that Curry’s rightfully replace it, Marshall has said he would like any funds raised given to the Bristol Children‘s Hospital charity ‘ The Grand Appeal’
Marshalls birthday‘s are very important to his family as on his first Birthday he lost all four limbs to Meningitis.
Thank your time.
