Why We Need Your Support

Ren has self-financed her music and artist development to date, which includes learning through courses and masterclasses, practicing and rehearsing and putting on live gigs. To take her gift on the road which will give her exposure and build a local fanbase following, Ren needs to fund admin, transport, producing the first set of merchandise, producing the EP, to name but a few costs. She will re-invest the proceeds of merchandise sales in merchandise reprints until she breaks even and starts to make a profit. Proceeds from ticket sales minus expenses, and any sponsorships will also facilitate the successful Ren on The Road tour.

Please join Ren on this journey and help her take this bold and unique sound around the UK.

Ren On The Road – Why?

Ren belongs to a generation who have an appreciation for a plethora of music reflective of what they were exposed to growing up. Ren's music is a unique fusion of r&b, pop, indie, folk, ballads, and afrobeats music. This noteworthy fact is of critical importance because Ren is all too often pigeonholed solely as an Afrobeats artist due to her  Nigerian heritage of her parents, which she celebrates but is only a small part of her musical identity.

Preferring to sing and perform alternative music can cause you to be perceived as selling out. Ren is on the road to share and encourage us to boldly identify with whatever music we love regardless. Ren is determined to break the expectation barriers we adhere to by sharing her music and prove that success lies in being authentic in the process.

In launching herself as Ren, a name extracted from her name Keren and in alignment with the splendid fairywren songbird, Ren believes she has captured her essence and her gift into one easily identifiable brand. By day she earns a living working in the corporate world and by night she invests in her music and performance by rehearsing, performing and part time study at ICMP London, where she is currently studying production and songwriting.

Ren's management team have her in collaboration with top producers to release her debut EP mid 2025, and an album at the end of 2025. They have also assembled a team of talented musicians to join Ren and her music, on the road.

Ren’s Background

Ren’s story is one of resilience, passion, and a bold pursuit of her dreams. British Nigerian, and raised in Hertfordshire, Ren’s love for music was ignited at a young age. Ren's early resume is impressive and definitely indicative of her direction of travel.

She attended a Christian school, where she sang praise and worship songs during assemblies, studied music for her GCSE’s, and as lead in school talent shows. She also conducted a choir of 40 students in a musical. In the process Ren learned piano, taught herself guitar, and immersed herself in music on the radio, more specifically, Smooth Radio classics as well as folk, pop and ballads.

Amateur Songwriting

Ren’s passion for music grew as she wrote original songs for school carol services, and she honed her singing and performing talents by attending Stagecoach and Sylvia Young Theatre School. Ren stepped outside her comfort zone by sharing her first mashup on YouTube and went on to create a Bridgerton-inspired instrumental, which garnered support and recognition for her guitar playing and creative arrangements.

While on a university placement year in the United States of America, Ren won a talent show. Once back in the UK, Ren took a leap of faith and released two tracks (under a different name) that caught the attention of BBC introducing. This was all the encouragement that Ren needed to remain relentless in her bid to share her songwriting, singing, and playing because according to Ren, "her heart belongs to music."
