Remembering Jude-Sparkles & Snuggles in September

Aim: To throw sparkles and snuggles around in memory of Jude Mellon-Jameson

September 30th will be a year since Jude’s death. We want to remember our happy boy and all the amazing things he put into the world. What we’d give right now for a snuggle with him is beyond words. Jude was all about the sparkle and he really did spread his kindness, love and joy like glitter - what’s even more special is that even now he continues to shine! 

The Snuggles… We’d like to buy pyjamas, oodies, dressing gowns and blankets for children that really deserve those extra big snuggles this year. We will donate these through our charity partners to ensure they get to the children and young people along with our Christmas book donations.  

The Sparkles… He loved the snowflakes at what he called the “Yellow Bear Hospital” and so for another year we are choosing to support them by dedicating some sparkle to Jude and his Book Factory. Since it started in 2004, the award-winning snowflake display has raised over £2.5m for Sheffield Children’s, the hospital where Jude received his diagnosis, most of his treatment and passed away. In 2023, the twinkling snowflakes raised over £377K for the hospital, supporting their £2million fundraising appeal towards the build of the new National Centre for Child Health Technology, a world-class research and technology centre at The Olympic Legacy Park, that will be run by Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

His Book Factory is Jude’s legacy, everyday it’s growing, the word is spreading and more is happening and we are thrilled to see that happening due to the support of people just like you.
