In the first half of 2024, UK animal shelters and rescues nationwide received roughly 2.7 million cats and dogs, with an increase of 75,000 dogs and 247,000 cats in their care compared to the same period in 2023.
This is proving to be a trend that is increasing year on year. We are now at the point where funding is getting harder to obtain, animal shelters are constantly running out of space and the only option available is Euthanasia.
Many people do not realise that putting thier pets into animal shelters does not guarentee they will be rehomed or be better off. Some animals simply cannot cope with kennal life and go down hill fast, others get behavial problems leading to a point where they simply cannot be rehomed.
Our aim is to create a database of animals looking for a new home. Will will then work with the rehomer and suitable adopters / forsters to find the best possible forever home. All homes will be vetted to ensure that animals go to a safe and loving home.
We will also work with animal shelters to help rehome thier long term residents, ensuring they are involved with the rehoming and we meet thier own rehoming criteria.
We do not believe any healthly animal should ever be put down, we know there are better options and strive to make sure all animals get the love, support and home they deserve. In order to do this we need your help.
