We already rescue unwanted cats. Our aim is to raise funds for their care and be able to continue rescuing the traumatised, old and infirm.

Hello everyone, we (Rachael and Denise) would like to take a few moments to tell you all about our Funding Project and why we started it up. We rescue and rehabilitate ‘death row’ cats. These are the cats who are unable to be rehomed due to behavioural issues, disabilities or old age. We have rescued a total of 10 so far and we aim to save even more. This said it costs a lot of money to feed, house, care for and get medical treatment where necessary as we aim to give them the best quality of life they deserve. Some have had been rehomed and returned so are often more traumatised and distrustful when they reach us. We help them learn to trust and live their best moggy lives, which can take weeks or months! We would love to rescue more cats, we have the space and time we just need the funds!

Where's My Dreamies?!
Inky was our first rescue, he had to have one of his legs amputated so went through a really tough time. Then nobody seemed to want him. Once I saw him I decided I would like to give him a new home, a new beginning. He's a cat with character and never lets his 'disability' slow him down!!

Little Bob was aggressive towards children and very nervous generally. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to know what happened to him.

But he settled immediately, loved lots of fuss, and although still nervous around strangers he can nip out the cat flap and come back when he pleases.

Sometimes it’s difficult to understand why nobody wanted him then someone he doesn’t know comes to visit and he shows exactly why he couldn’t find a new home. However here he’s happy, free to do be a cat. And living in the countryside he never faces anything that would scare or upset him.

This is Puff, he is a ragdoll and unfortunately the cat world loves ragdoll cats and kittens can sell for up to £1000. He was kept as a breeding cat, then eventually dumped along with some other ‘captives’.

When Puff arrived home, as with the other cats, he went into his own room for a few days to help adjust to his new surroundings. But Puff was seriously traumatised and retreated into the bottom of a wardrobe and stayed there.  Then finally the day came when I brought him his food and he came out to eat. Very, very slowly I’d see more of him and he started looking out of the window and taking an interest in his surroundings. It took as while but the feeling when he finally came out of his shell is indescribable.

Now he loves to play with his green worm and is a happy member of the menagerie.

These are just three stories out of the 10 cats we’ve rescued so far. There are more cats out there that might need a special home and we want to be here for them.
