For almost 30 years ESBH Crossroads have provided an essential home respite service, giving full time carers the reassurance that our professional & skilled workers will take care of a loved one in their familiar home environment while they take a well-earned break from their caring responsibilities.
Carers can use this time to meet friends, attend classes, participate in group activities or do anything which will make a difference to their health and wellbeing helping carers recharge so they can continue to care for and support their loved ones at home.
From April an hour of care will cost approximately £32.50.
We would like to raise funds so that we can provide respite care at a reduced rate for those who are in need of the service, but cannot afford the costs.
We have set our target at £3,250 which is the equivalent of 100 hours of care at the full cost. We would use this funding to reduce the hourly rate of care by up to 20% for those who are ineligible for government support with respite care costs and have to pay privately.
This should enable more carers to access our service and receive the respite they so desperately need.
