0From Broadway Crawley - to Horsham Youth Centre - to Holbrook Community Centre - and to Drill Hall Horsham, it’s been 16 years of renting spaces to conduct church services, gospel musical events and counselling. Today, we are grateful to God for a freehold building at RH12 3SR, Warnham, Horsham which we have purchased on mortgage with HSBC.
The building, a former train station house and ticketing office will require alteration to make it suitable for purpose. Although the overall purpose of the building is for a church, the core objective of the church is use the building to provide informal but structured educational programs (Kingdom Stars) which aims at developing children aged between 3 months to 12 years old.
Kingdom Stars is God given vision to train children in a home from home setting where they are nurtured and encouraged in a stimulating environment, whilst also learning to demonstrate God's love in action to everyone. This will also serve as a training centre that will provide the right foundation for them to grow into Living Stars.
In addition, provide training to people to develop integrity – moral training; ethics training for children – After-school club; Maths, English, Science, to assist children with their schoolwork and career pathway. The after-school club will serve community.
Our ambition is to encourage happy, confident children to take an interest in their surroundings and interact positively with others. This is achieved through a combination of free play, Story-time, dancing and structural activities. Our crèche consists of an experienced, qualified team of staff, using their skills to ensure the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of the child. We cap the classes at 8 - 10 children per group so the teaching and playing really is unique.
The church is seeking to raise £95,000 broken down into;
£70,000 for the alteration works and £25,000 for equipping the After-School Club and Creche.
