The Prize
You and your loved one will get to spend a day at Marwell Zoo that you'll never forget.
Your VIP experience starts before the zoo opens to the public. You'll start your day with breakfast at Marwell Hall, where you will be joined by Marwell Wildlife Chief Executive, Laura Read and Zoological Director, Dr Will Justice. You will have the chance to ask them both questions about the zoo and Marwell's conservation work and hear stories from their time at Marwell.
After breakfast, you’ll head out into the zoo to visit our red pandas in their habitat. You’ll learn all about caring for this wonderful species directly from one of our dedicated red panda keepers. You’ll help to prepare the food and assist the keepers to place it around the habitat, helping to create a positive life experience for the red pandas.
Once your time with the team comes to a close, and it’s time to wave goodbye to the red pandas, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the zoo - including vouchers for lunch in Café Graze and a red panda goody bag to take home with you and cherish.
This prize is available for two people aged 12+. Every effort will be made to accommodate your choice of date, subject to availability.
Your donation will care for the red pandas.
Sadly, the red panda is under threat due to habitat loss and fragmentation of populations, poaching, the pet trade and forest fires which destroy their primary food source - bamboo. Marwell's red pandas are ambassadors for their endangered relatives in the wild. They help around half a million people connect with nature each year, encouraging guests to learn about the threats that face wildlife and how they can take action to protect them.
