Aim: Please help me start my life again after sustaining a Traumatic Brain Injury in a car accident in July 2023!
Introduction
Hello, my name is Samuel, and I’m the founder of SANCHA — a bakery inspired by my love of Japan, its culture and customs and sharing joy through creative bakes.
In July 2023, I was involved in a serious car accident that led to a number of injuries, including a severe Traumatic Brain Injury that reached as far as my brain stem. I spent half a year in hospital and residential rehab, fully focusing on my recovery and rebuilding my strength.
Thanks to the incredible support of my loved ones and the NHS, I’ve made a wonderful recovery and, while I’m not 100% back to where I was physically, I’m making great progress and have worked tirelessly to claw back a semblance of normality, whatever that looks like.
I am sure there will be many pitfalls along the way, the car accident was one of them and I am not expecting things to be perfect. I am only hoping this opportunity will help provide an opportunity to move forward in life.
I have recently been offered the opportunity to work with a wonderful, local community centre that is helping me get back on my feet by supporting the early stages of reopening my bakery. Their belief in me has given me the confidence to start this campaign — to ask for your help in giving me a second chance.

Re-establish SANCHA with an industrial oven
Contribute to paying rent at the community centre
Purchase new baking trays
Restock ingredients
I’m incredibly excited about the future, and I believe with the right support, SANCHA can come back better and stronger than ever — not just as a business, but as a resilient community space that celebrates joy and togetherness.
