The Rebuild Group was formed to change the way homelessness is tackled across the UK. We aim to help put an end to homelessness and rough sleeping by homing those in need in our custom-built facilities in major cities around the UK. Having accommodation and an address allows the people staying with us to rebuild their lives.

WHO WE ARE

The Rebuild Group was formed to change the way homelessness is tackled across the UK. We aim to help put an end to homelessness and rough sleeping by homing those in need in our custom-built facilities in major cities around the UK. Having accommodation and an address allows the people staying with us to rebuild their lives.

WHY WE EXIST

Every year, thousands of individuals and families will approach their council for help because they are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Local authorities have a legal duty to provide housing to those that meet certain criteria in line with the Homelessness Act 2002. These people will be accepted as statutory homeless. Many people, including veterans, that approach their local authority for help will not be accepted as statutory homeless.

Single homeless people are rarely considered to be in priority need. Over the last several years, the average number of people rejected for not being in priority need each year is 20,000. A study by The Dying Homeless Project revealed that a total of 976 deaths were recorded across the UK in 2020, which is more than a third higher than the previous year.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP

Your donation will help fund our work with homeless people. Our buildings will be constructed by Caledonian Modular and will have 100 rooms on average. The accommodation will consist of a bedroom and a bathroom as well as storage, while the ground floor will be made up of a canteen, socialising spaces, onsite launderette, and counselling suites; where the people staying with us can meet with a support network made up of other homeless charities and volunteers who alongside us will help them rebuild their lives.

Our fundraising strategy aims to maximise your donations. Our primary sponsor Phoenix Sports and Media Group Ltd, a leading sports and media multi-disciplinary professional services group, which takes care of our accountancy, legal and administrative needs. This means we can operate with a much smaller group of people and therefore use a greater percentage of your donation on our main objective, helping end homelessness.

Your donation will help end homelessness.
