My sister, Leigh-Anna and I are fundraising to go to rural Ecuador to take part in many essential projects to improve the of life of the communities and also to preserve the environment. My brother is thirteen and I am fourteen and a half. This means that a big part of the project is fundraising. That is why we has decide to cycle the length of the of the amazon rain forest on an exercise bike. The amazon is 6575 km long so we will be doing it day by day. We are hoping to do 50 km combined every day which means it will take us 131 days. That is a huge under taking but we are committed to helping the people of Ecuador whilst helping  the environment.  It will also help us build our fitness so that we can help the people in Ecuador to the best of our ability.

Whilst in Ecuador we will be helping provide a source of fresh water through building wells made out of recycled materials such as water bottles washed up onto the shores. No one should be forced by circumstance to drink dirty water. We will also be offering our services by teaching valuable lessons in the schools. Sadly as it stands only a third of the children have access to an education and we really want to help change that!

As well as helping the communities we will be working with, we will be participating in a number of highly beneficial environmental projects to conserve our planet and assist in the prevention of global warming and climate change.

We will be planting saplings in the Amazon rain forest which will grow into beautiful trees which will then take in harmful carbon dioxide gas and provide us lovely fresh oxygen. We will assisting getting the turtles out to sea and participating in beach cleanups to ensure our planets beauty is preserved and the turtles nesting sights are protected . We will also be spending time in giant greenhouses planting seeds for sustainable food sources and working with children so they learn about food and nutrition, helping the communities have a sustainable food supply and allow them to be more independent in some of the most remote hilliest areas in the world. Thank you for your support with our project we couldn't do it without you. If you want updates on how our project is going, check out our instagram @fundraising.helping.ecuador
