Who are we?
We are a charity called Friends of Ravenshall and we aim to improve facilities and life chances for children and young people aged 4-19 years old that attend Ravenshall Special School and improve facilities and opportunities for local residents and families
Why are we crowdfunding?
Imagine a place where every step a child takes sparks curiosity, engagement, and joy. We’re building a Mile Circular Sensory Path, specially designed for children with disabilities, and we need your help to bring it to life!
This unique path will weave through a beautiful outdoor space, incorporating sensory activities along the way—touchable textures, vibrant colors, calming sounds, and interactive installations that cater to children with a variety of disabilities. For children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders, this mile-long journey will provide a safe, inclusive space to explore, play, and learn at their own pace.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Super simple - every penny raised will go towards creating the sensory mile track.
Community impact
The Sensory Mile Track will create a transformative impact on our community, especially for children with disabilities and their families. This inclusive, accessible space will not only provide a much-needed resource for sensory engagement and outdoor play, but it will also strengthen the community in several key ways:

Sport England will pledge £9,300 if we raise £9,300 through crowdfunding.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
