Raven is a puppy - a little over year old now. He was about 3 or 4 months when he was found by the road hit by a vehicle. He is a Greek dog. I fostered him this summer and I fell in love with him. I want to adopt him and bring him to England. However, he will need a hip replacement at one stage in his life. He had an operation in Athens when he was found. The latest report from the vet can be read at the bottom for your information.
The earlier the operation happens, the better. Today he is about 1 year old and he can walk and run. I taught him how to swim and we did go for long walks! However, his leg doesn’t sit comfortably, and the older he gets the more pain he will be in. He is with a charity on the island of Lesbos. I can not commit to his adoption with a £10,000 vet bill unfortunately. That’s why I need you! The money will be the cost of the hip replacement and if we ever manage to touch people’s hearts and we collect enough money it will help with his transport/ vet trip.
Please help me to adopt him and to make it possible for us to be together!
Examination:
Magnetic resonance imaging of the spine (O3-I3) with T1 SPGR, T2 SE, T2 SSFSE and STIR sequences before and after intravenous injection of paramagnetic contrast medium.
Findings:
The spinal cord and hippocampus are controlled with normal signal intensity and dimensions.
Decreased range of MD O7-I is checked with a decrease in the signal intensity of the intervertebral disc on the T2 sequence.
Almost complete perforation of oblique comminuted fracture of the left hemisphere of the sacrum with local new bone production without findings of stenosis of the spinal canal or vertebral foramina is controlled.
The fracture line extends to the left anterior endplate of I1.
Ventral vertebral development in MD O7-I1.
By nature, the other intervertebral spaces of the examination are checked.
Paravertebral soft tissues and other structures on examination are controlled within normal limits.
Conclusion:
Partial porosity of an old fracture of the sacrum.
Ventral vertebral development in MD O7-I1.
No evidence of stenosis of the spinal canal or vertebral foramina.
Clinical and neurological assessment is recommended.
