Aim: As a charity our main aim is to provide our gymnasts with the most up to date equipment to help them succeed, progress whilst having fun!
Chelmsford Gymnastics Club provides gymnastics classes to all genders, children from 18months old up to adults.
Chelmsford Gymnastics Club is a limited company with charitable status. Surplus funds are used to pay for coaching courses, exams, entry fees to competitions and of course equipment.
The club started over 30 years ago and was based at Dovedale Sports Centre, Vicarage Road, Chelmsford. Julie Belemore, became Head Coach of the club in 1992. When Julie took over, the club had 20 girls, training on two badminton courts on a Saturday. We now have over 1,000 gymnasts training throughout the week at our dedicated facility which opened in April 2012.
The club now caters for boys Artistic as well girls, which has flourished over the years with competitive squad groups now in place for all genders.

For those of you who haven't heard about the increase in our rent. As a charity our mission is to teach gymnastics to the local community.
Any funds we have we plough back to the club.
By the terms of the Charity Commission, we are not allowed to have a vast amount of savings, so we don’t.
After talking with our landlords, our rent has increased by 100% and we are now having to pay back rent. We have made a few changes to the gym and we are surviving with the big increase in rent. Which means we need a little help raising money for new equipment. We would like to order 3 new slopes.
The slopes are £100 each, these slopes would benefit all gymnasts, age groups and abilities allowing them to progress with learning new skills.
Our last fundraising event raised enough money to fix our trampoline! As a club we are exceptional grateful for any donations we receive, investing the money back into the club for the benefit of our gymnasts.
Any funds raised would be greatly appreciated and help towards buying the new slopes for all the gymnasts to be able to use. Providing better training facilities and equipment for our gymnasts is our main focus to make sure they are getting the most out of the sport!
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
