Many of the patients who have been diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome and are now disabled, are having problems accessing disability equipment, to aid them live their lives as independently as possible as they are stuck in bed in their homes, having spent months waiting for disability equipment to be delivered to them by the Council, some have spent up to six months or more waiting for this equipment to be delivered to them and at times no avail. This has caused many patients to suffer from other additional illnesses such as depression, anxiety and others are having mental break down as they feel trapped and isolated from the world around them as they cannot leave their homes due to no mobility aids such as a Bariatric wheelchair or Rollators with a seat, just to mention a few, to be able to leave the house for fresh air in their back gardens or just to go to the park, or go out to a social event with their loved ones.
I am kindly asking everyone to look into their hearts and pockets to please donate to this charity as it will help a lot of people who are suffering without these equipment's. Your donation will be used to source out the equipment as well as allow the Volunteer staff to go out there to support the patients to achieve their living independently goals.
